How to Write About the Reef and What to Consider
The Great Barrier Reef is fragile. As writers it is our job to consider the state of the thing we are writing about; to ensure that our writing preserves the status of our subject. The Great Barrier Reef is a major topic of concern and each writing piece that is produced plays a role in maintaining its health. The sad thing is that many writers are hurting the reef with their portrayal of its health and neglect for sharing the full picture. The Great Barrier Reef does not have much time left, and as writers we
need to do everything that we can to not only inform the public about what is taking place in the reef, but also to aid in preserving its health as well. Writing with a passion for something like the reef is crucial and makes for effective writing, so a passion that will keep it healthy and entertain the idea of helping it in our readers is the best thing to do when writing about the reef.
